Founded in the spring of 2004 by Sharla Megilligan, Makarios is a faith-based 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of impoverished people in the developing world through Christ-centered, sustainable educational and outreach programs.
